What is Gift Directory?

Giftdirectory.co.nz is a place for wholesale buyers and sellers (primarily within the gift, toy, homewares and stationery industries) to find trade opportunities and promote their businesses online.

Gift Directory is an online business platform, where you can search or post information to find potential business partners.

How do I Log In?

At the top right-hand corner you'll see the words LOG IN.
Click on that.
Type in your email address and password.
If you've forgotten your password, don't worry we can help you with that too!

Password; I have forgotten or lost my password

Don't worry, at the top of any of our webpages you'll see "Forgot Your Password".
Click on that.
Type in your email address and we will send you an email with instructions to reset your password.

I see an incorrect Listing I'd like to report

Thanks, let us know; we'd appreciate that. We will get in touch with the Supplier concerned to verify and update our website.

Can I join if I don't have a computer?

Yes, you can join over the phone or you can join online from any computer, as long as you have a valid email address which you have access to.

What is a Dashboard?

Once you have logged in, you'll be taken to your Dashboard. Dashboards are an information hub specifically designed to assit with managing your presence on Gift Directory and providing vital industry information.

A couple of examples:

From a Suppliers persepctive our Dashboard will show you the number of times your business has appeared as a result of a search.

From a Retailers viewpoint, you will be able to see what products are trending by search results and be able to join into our "I'm looking for" page.

Can we list more than one company?

Sure; but you must JOIN US with a new email address.

How can I pay for my Listing?

We have the faciity online if you wish to pay via Mastercard or Visa (and get those points) - or you can pay direct debit, cash or cheque.

Is a "FREEBIE" Listing really free?

Yes, absolutely. We will never send you a bill for anything you have not agreed to buy.

If I start with a FREEBIE Listing, can I upgrade later?

Absolutely! You can upgrade your listing at any time.

If I list on Gift Directory, would it give my website greater visibility within Google?

Most definitely. Google's proposition is based on relevance, credibility and results. Because Gift Directory is a specialist directory and from conception has been Search Engine Optimised (SEO); your website will rank highly with Google because it follows SEO best practices as do other search engines. All websites linked to Gift Directory will increase their Search Optimisation.

How will Retailers come to know about www.giftdirectory.co.nz?

We will promote Gift Directory to our database of over 8,000 Retailers through a combination of print media, email marketing, direct mail and other proven marketing strategies. Retailers will regularly receive ongoing e-newsletters communicating industry information, retailing tips, profiling businesses, new products and much more.

How do I add my business to www.giftdirectory.co.nz?

It's easy. First you need to JOIN. Click on JOIN US, found at the top of any of our webpages - select your choice of listing - fill in the form and away you go.

How often can I edit my listing?

It's your listing. Update your text and/or images as often as you'd like.

We are launching a new range - how can we promote it on this website?

FEATURED PRODUCTS: Draw attention to your product(s) via our Featured Product Parks. These products will revolve systematically and be seen within various locations of the website. Featured Products will also be highlighted within our regular e-newsletters.

SHOWROOM OPENINGS: Let Retailers know when and where to view your next product release. This feature enables your company's product launch to be listed, regionally. Enhanced and ShowCase listings already have this feature included within their packages.

I'd like a Product Park, can I get one?

Yes.

All listing types can purchase these either annually or fortnightly. Every fortnight an e-newsletter will go to our database highlighting our Featured Products.

Note: If you have...

ShowCase Listing - you already have annual Park included in your package and can buy more at a discounted price.

Enhanced Listing - you can purchase an annual for a discounted price also.

I'm not longer trading, I'd like to delete my company's listing

Sure, no problem. Deleting your listing will remove all your company information from our system.

To delete; please contact us through our contact page, send us an email and we will do so. Please include a phone number so we can verify this.

What is a voucher?

Vouchers are a great way to provide special discounts and deals to potential customers who come across your listing. Customers can print it out; present or send to your business, to take up your offer.

ShowCase Listings and Enhanced listings have vouchers included in their packages.

What is a Featured Product Park?

It's a platform to feature and get exposure for your products. It's found on many pages throughout the site.

Viewers click on the product and get more info; for example

Product Name/SKU or model number Brand name Colours available Minimum order quantity Delivery: In stock now? If not, when it will arrive Description Price

A ShowCase Listing has an annual Park included within its package: It's a bit like a carpark, a space you can fill with whatever. An Enhanced Listing can purchase an annual Park at a discounted price.

RETAILERS / WHOLESALE BUYERS

What do the stars mean beside the company name?

The more information Suppliers give us, the more stars we give them. At a glance you will be able to see from which Supplier you can get the most information from.

How do I search by Brand Name?

You can search for the brand name of a product two ways:

Either type the name in the Search Bar

simply browse through our A-Z brand list.

To find the A-Z brand list, click on Brands underneath the Search Bar. The A-Z is fabulous if you've forgotten how to spell what you're looking for!

How do I search by Company Name?

Type the company name into the Search Bar and you will obtain a list of companies that match your criteria.

How do I search by Products or Services?

You can either input the product you are looking for into the Search Bar (eg dolls)

Browse through our Categories.

There is a link just under the Search Bar which says Categories. Click on that. You'll see a number of categories (eg toys) which have sub categories underneath them.

Click on "girls" and that will take you to "dolls".

Note, when you get to dolls, you'll see there are further options - "baby dolls" "paper dolls" "fashion dolls" etc.

I can't see the prices of the Products, where are they?

Viewers who have joined Gift Directory will be able to see the prices. Suppliers have the option to show Recommended Retail Price (RRP), Wholesale Price or Sale Price. They do need to show one of the prices, but not all of them. If you have joined and can't see the prices - you'll need to log in! :-)
